Mission Statement

"To positively and instructively impact the life of rural communities in Sub-Saharan Africa through the improvement of their educational and health needs, and the introduction of modern technologies".

Millennium Development Goals
The Millennium Development Goals (MDGs)   are eight(8) international development goals that all United Nations  members have agreed to achieve by the year 2015. They include:
  • Eradicating extreme poverty.
  • Reducing child mortality rates.
  • Fighting diseases epidemics.
  • Developing a global partnership for development.
Act for Africa's Visions fits within the objectives of the MDGs in terms of health and education:
  • Goal 2: Achieve universal primary education.
  • Goal 5: Improve Maternal health.
  • Goal 6: Combat HIV/AIDS, malaria  and others diseases.
  • Goal 7: Ensure environmental sustainability.

Do you know that......

....Hand washing can reduce diarrhea rates among children under 5 by 50%. According to UNICEF, in developing countries, more than 5,000 children every day or 1,7 million children every year die from diarrhea diseases before the age of five.

Our Vision

Act for Africa international, Inc. is a 501 (c)(3) organization that works to improve the live of rural communities in Sub-Saharan Africa. Its purpose is to lessen suffering of African rural communities by improving health and education sectors, and facilitating access to drinking water and sanitation facilities. The overall objective of Act for Africa is to contribute to poverty alleviation in Sub-Saharan rural areas by:
  • Providing medical and educational  equipment and supplies.
  • Helping to rehabilitate health and educational infrastructures such as health clinics, classrooms, libraries, latrines, wells and water pumps.
  • Establishing programs to educate people on diseases prevention including HIV/AIDS, Malaria, STD's and water born diseases.
We all know that the lack of decent health and educational infrastructures constitutes one of the major obstacles seriously hindering good quality of education and health care in developing countries. We want to provide a platform enabling rural communities to come together in order to identify their priority needs and find solution to their health and education issues.
We seek to build local and global partnership in finding solutions to local problems . By so doing, Act for Africa hopes to to empower communities in refining their local health and educational facilities, and enjoy life.
